Royal Marsden has an international reputation for providing the highest quality of care to patients, and International Centre Administrator's main role is to be an office based Administrator, managing calls from patient, staff members and sponsors. To book appointments and answer queries.

To have good telephone manner and to be able to handle complaints and to make sure that all tasks are managed in a timely manner.

Main duties of the job

The Private Care Directorate is seeking an enthusiastic Arabic speaking Administrator to support the International Centre Team.

The International Centre Administrator's main role is to be an office based administrator, coordinating all calls from Hospital staff, patients, families and Embassies.

To provides a single point of enquiry and access to prospective patients and families seeking advice while treatment at the Royal Marsden HHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will be required to work as part of the International Centre Team responsible for answering patients' queries and providing clear information.

The post holder will be responsible for liaising with clinics regarding patients' medical needs, and appointments made.

The post holder will work closely with the International Centre Team and be the first point of contact for all prospective Arabic patients; therefore fluency in Arabic language is an essential skill to have. The role will also require attending to any administration duties for the International Centre Team.

Job responsibilities

Coordination of International Centre Team

To manage and act as the main point of contact for enquires from prospective patients, clinical teams, embassies and relatives and to act as a call coordinator for the International Centre.

  • To coordinate requests for International Patient Relations Officer support and assign requests from other hospital departments to team members appropriately

  • To manage and act as the main point of contact for enquiries from prospective patients, clinical teams, embassies and relatives and to act as a call coordinator for the International Centre team.

  • To be the first point of interaction for many patients within The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring that the prospective patient journey begins with a positive and welcoming experience, and instills confidence in our services.

  • To coordinate and follow-up with the medical secretaries to obtain the medical report as requested.

  • To log all requests in the Department database.

  • To arrange taxi bookings for patients going to/from Sutton

Qualifications/Training

Essential
 

  • Fluent in written and spoken Arabic

  • Educated to A-level or equivalent

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office

Experience

  • Experience of working in an environment providing direct customer service

  • Appreciation of customer attitudes and expectations from diverse backgrounds

  • Experience of working within a hospital or medical setting
