For every product created in product engineering, the planning, carrying out, and reporting of test results falls within the purview of the quality assurance engineer. Direction can be given to a QA Engineer while they work autonomously and promptly update their manager. It is anticipated that a QA Engineer will be able to provide basic support for at least one product and be able to help with other products as needed. Furthermore, they will carry out testing at the feature, regression, and system levels in addition to helping to create processes and guidelines for the product development process.
