Non-EEA Applicants


Education required 10 years of school education

Post-secondary education programme leading to registration in home country as an entry-level registered nurse/ midwife (must be entirely focused on nursing – medical qualifications are not acceptable)


NMC Registration requirement:

  • Applicants will be asked to provide evidence of all practice undertaken as a registered nurse or midwife including verification documents and registration certificates.

  • You will also need to provide comprehensive references, in addition to a criminal record check and health assessment.


English language requirements:

  • IELTS Academic Level 7 pass or OET Level B pass

  • Pre-requisite qualifications for the branch of practice you would like to enter:

  • Please note most of our applicants apply as Adult/ general nurses.


The 4 branches of nursing recognised by the NMC are:

  • Adult/ general nursing

  • Mental health nursing

  • Learning disabilities

  • Children’s nursing
