Are you a BSc or MSc graduate who wants to join the team of food quality researchers? Are you ready to prepare and execute experiments on different food products such as fruit, vegetables, milk and insects? We are looking for a skilled research assistant to work in our laboratories of the Food Quality and Design group to perform many different types of experiments. You will learn our protocols and perform these experiments yourself, for example determining the protein content and composition of milk and insects, using Dumas or SDS-page analyses, or studying food digestion using the SHIME. You will also prepare foods for analysis or storage by using techniques such as freeze-drying and cryo-milling. As a research professional, you will help our thesis students with operating our lab equipment and keeping the lab clean and organised together with the team of lab technicians. Also, you will assist with the preparation and execution of practical’s for our education, which takes place in the education buildings of the university.
