International nurses without NMC Pin number. The Trainee Nursing Associate programme (also known as Nursing Associate apprenticeship) is a development role. On completion, individuals work as a Registered Nursing Associates or can access external opportunities to complete the BSc to be a Registered Nurse/ undertake CBT & OSCE. As a Trainee Nursing Associate, the post holder will work towards a Registered Nursing Associate (Band 4) post through the successful completion of the Nursing Associate apprenticeship standard, including the attainment of a Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship qualification. Over the one year, the apprentice will work at NHS Foundation Trust and have placements across the wider healthcare community to develop knowledge, skills and competencies to support Registered Nurses and other healthcare practitioners.
