Description

Bending Spoons is a leading mobile app developer that prioritizes innovation, education, and long-term thinking. Through our software engineering graduate program, you'll enjoy a captivating and impactful formative experience. As well as receiving regular coaching from our most experienced professionals, you’ll rotate across key areas to gain a comprehensive grounding in the intricacies of each one.

For example, you may work in the following areas:

  • Mobile development

  • Backend development

  • Cybersecurity and Infrastructure engineering

  • Product Management

We’ll design your program in tandem with you, in a way that resonates with your interests and skills. This will be a truly personalized engineering education.

What We Offer

  • A comprehensive education in engineering. Learn a range of state-of-the-art technologies under the precise tutelage of our domain experts.

  • Relentless innovation. Global challenges demand an innovative approach. You'll harness the latest tools to target impact at massive scale.

  • Solve big problems. From the word go, you'll work on significant projects that demand the utmost care and attention. No danger of thumb-twiddling here.

  • A WOW team. Spooners are motivated, growth-focused, and energizing to be around. We also love to hang out together—you're going to make a ton of new friends!

  • A tailor-made experience. We're ready to welcome you whenever you're ready to join us, on a schedule that works for you.

  • Work in the most innovative of industries. It's no secret tech is where the action is. Do your bit to shape the industry at the center of global challenges.

  • Continuous education. We pay for your Italian/English language lessons and offer an unlimited book budget, but that's not where it ends. If you make a good case for some extra learning, we're delighted to foot the tab.

  • Remote working. Spend as much or as little time in our Milan office as you choose (even no time at all, if you’d prefer). Many Spooners like to change up their environment and get out of the city whenever the mood strikes. Every day, you’ve got the freedom to decide where today’s office is.

  • Flexible schedule. Our regular hours are 9-6 GMT+1, but this isn’t a “clock in, clock out” company. Morning person? Start work while the world’s still sleeping. Night owl? Ramp things up while others are winding down. You’re fully trusted to create the right conditions for your own personal peak productivity. We only ask that you’re available to your teammates a good chunk of the day. That’s why it’s generally best to be based somewhere with a similar time zone—between GMT-2 and GMT+3.

  • Lots. Of. Fun. Our incredible People Operations team organize awesome events, such as team games, drinks, yoga classes, parties.

  • Top-notch HQ. Natural light, silent rooms, state-of-the-art hardware, fun-filled common spaces... the list never ends! You’ll certainly be in the right environment to do your best work. And, when it’s time to switch off, you can do that in style and comfort.

  • Relocation package. To ease your move to Milan (if you decide to relocate), the first three months of rent are on us. Visa support is provided for those who need it.

What We Look For

  • Excellent logical-analytical abilities. You’re a quick learner who can investigate and effectively pick up new concepts on your own. You can solve unforeseen challenges with creativity and structure, and do so independently.

  • Drive. You’re energetic, hard-working, and you persevere through adversity until the job is done—and done impeccably. You’re results-oriented and always aim for excellence in what you do.

  • Passion for engineering. You’re simply in love with writing software.

  • Rationality and self-control. You make decisions based on facts—even in moments of stress or heightened emotion.

  • Humility. You’re down to earth, eager to listen to people’s constructive criticism, and ready to get your hands dirty with whatever the team needs to succeed.

  • Communication. Your communication, both written and oral, is structured and crystal clear.

  • Proficiency in English. You read, write, and speak proficiently in English.

The Recruiting Process

On your CV and cover letter, be sure to emphasize what makes you a really strong candidate, as that’s the first thing we evaluate. Make it through the CV screening, and we’ll invite you to take a few online problem solving tests and a coding challenge. These help us to understand the way you think and give us an idea of how you’d perform at Bending Spoons. Finally, we move onto the interview stage, where you can meet a few Spooners and ask questions till your heart’s content! Your recruiter is ready to support you throughout the entire process.
