The Database Administrator is responsible for data analysis and database management. Database Administrators typically are involved in database maintenance, enhancements, backup and recovery implementation, creation and implementation of physical and logical database models, designing and implementing high availably and disaster recovery setups, and performance tuning. Database Administrators have a range of skills and knowledge of the utilities, tools, and methods used for database administration to support the Application and Operation Teams.
