To manage our expanding YouTube account, we are looking for a dedicated, organized, and creative Digital Communications Specialist. The chosen applicant will be a YouTube first video creator who will assume ownership of one or more YouTube channels with the possibility of managing additional channels in the future as our team expands and changes. This person would collaborate directly with the creative team and would need to be familiar with all the production processes, including conceptualization, screenplay writing, shooting, editing, uploading, etc. To enhance our business reputation and promote communication with both internal and external audiences, the candidate will create and direct engaging, educational, inventive, and amusing campaigns and content for the platform.

They will work closely with our corporate communication and business partners across the company – on topics as diverse as leadership, workplace, performance, technology, sustainability, citizenship and many more – to grow our audience and optimize the channel through targeted analytics and benchmarks. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing top-notch social campaigns and strategies with measurable results in both reputational and commercial metrics. They should have a strong understanding of the current digital/social media landscape, be a strategic thinker, goal-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, start-up culture. This role is on the social team, working as part of the corporate communication team.

Minimum Requirements


 
5+ years of digital communications, social media, or video production experience, ideally a mix of agency and corporate.
 
Proficient with legacy, current, and emerging features within YouTube, with a strong understanding of the feature-set on other platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and LinkedIn
 
Experience using design and video editing software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro. Knowledge of After Effects, etc.
 
Proficient with social media content management and scheduling software such as Hootsuite or Sprinklr.
 
Experience supporting leaders and supervising/mentoring more junior staff
 
Bachelor’s degree

Content Ownership: Overseeing and helping develop best in class content that feeds into impactful audience-first, channel-sensitive, socially-native campaigns, while helping develop user-generated content and thought leadership, and other storytelling.


 
Content Strategy: Positioning YouTube as part of our global social media strategy, in line with reputational, brand, and business goals


 
Campaigns: Overseeing and guiding YouTube campaigns across teams


 
Analytics: Gathering regular analytics on the platform, synthesizing them into regular reports while advising on strategies to leverage data for audience growth and continually-improving content


 
Channels/platforms: Keeping on top of the latest trends and developments across all social media platforms – particularly YouTube – while making sure content developed is tailored to the specific audiences and particularities of the channel


 
Advice and Learning: Leveraging knowledge of best practices in social content to help other teams and partners develop good, creative ideas both proactively and reactively


 
Measurement and Evaluation: Through an understanding of the link between content quality and performance, driving continual improvement of social content backed by analytics on social listening, monitoring, measurement of ROI and evaluation
