Leading and motivating a group of dedicated care assistants to deliver the best possible care to our seniors so they can enjoy their latter years is your responsibility as a Senior Care Assistant. The tasks assigned to us will be diverse and will involve assisting our residents who require personal care as well as assisting them in engaging in a variety of activities that promote their health and wellness. You will also keep precise and unambiguous records in addition to giving out medication. Each day will present unique challenges and chances to apply your interpersonal and leadership abilities to truly impact the world.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be passionate about caring for older people, have previous care experience and, as a minimum, hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care and be willing to complete level 3. In addition, you will have experience leading, coaching and motivating a team to deliver high quality care.
You will have a kind, warm and caring nature and be able to work well as part of a team but also use your own initiative. Patience, communication and listening skills are equally important. Maintaining accurate records, time management and prioritising tasks will also be strengths. At Charnwood House, we provide residential dementia care for our 65 residents in single-storey, purpose-built, ensuite accommodation.
