We are looking for an experienced, proactive Treasurer who is great at optimising yield, managing risk and building deep relationships with both the wider team and our regulators. Alongside the usual treasury activities of optimising capital, liquidity, market risk, and funding strategies, you will also have the freedom to design the technology strategy for the team and have a major impact in the way we drive things moving forward. This is a very exciting time to join a digital bank with more than 6 million UK customers and a growing US operation. While the pandemic is still here, everyone is welcome to work remotely. When things return to normal, we'd like you to be able to be part of working in a team environment in our London office at least 1 day a week. We can help you relocate to London & we can sponsor visas.
You’ll spend your time:
Leading and developing a pioneering treasury team
Leveraging technology to execute your vision of Monzo’s Treasury function
Educating Monzonauts about what the Treasury team is doing and why it’s important
Working alongside the Finance senior leadership team and the new Group CFO
Engaging and advising the business on product & feature design
Setting and maintaining robust Treasury strategies, from Liquidity & Capital Management to Market Risk
Being secretary to the Asset and Liability Committee
Setting and maintaining an effective Treasury policy to manage and optimise collateral, our liquidity buffer and to optimise yield within board agreed risk boundaries
Managing the daily liquidity management of operational cash flows Reporting on all things regulatory governance and strategic
Completing of the annual ILAAP and assist in the production of the ICAAP and adhering to all Monzo’s Treasury, risk and compliance policies
You should apply if:
You have proven experience working in a Treasury environment and have an excellent understanding of treasury products and practices
You have a strong sense of accountability and are a driver of change
You have ability to understand complex financial concepts and simplify these to communicate effectively
You have a desire to optimise yield while Monzo is growing at pace
You have strong knowledge of Prudential regulation, specifically around IRRBB, capital and liquidity
Strong analytical skills and a ‘hands on’ attitude
You have vast knowledge of and a keen interest in financial markets
You have obtained financial qualifications such as CFA, ACT or ACA/CIMA/ACCA
