We are looking for a travel & events specialist to join our Workplace & Wellbeing team. The team's goal is to ensure the smooth running of the office and the well-being of all our collaborators. This role will report to the W&W manager/coordinator and will be in charge of the organization, running, and improvement of all travel requirements within the company and also will be responsible of some departments events and team buildings organization, working closely with our events specialist.

Our travel & events specialist will be representing Wallapop and our values and will demonstrate this by ensuring a positive, high-quality experience.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage travel supplier platform (Travel Perk), being the direct contact with the supplier, able to negotiate new and daily procedures, tariffs and contracts.

  • Person of contact for all Wallapop users related to travel: handle issues and questions and being able to solve questions and conflicts

  • Manage the online platform, assisting with new users and registrations and admin procedures

  • Handle and support all daily travel operations tasks: internal approvals, flights changes, cancellations requests, refunds processes

  • Negotiate favorable and closed rates for the company with existing and new suppliers

  • Organize corporate events, teambuilding and offsites for certain departments within the company, helping and working closely with our specialist events

  • Conduct analysis of previous events, help forecast current and future events needs.

  • Follow up of individual and group budgets. Create and distribute event invoices and tracking of payment.

  • Working closely and as a team with Workplace & Wellbeing team (specifically with events specialist and W&W assistant) and acting as a backup when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in startups or fast-growing companies

  • Proactive, hands-on mindset and ability to cope with change

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills

  • Optimistic with solid interpersonal skills

  • Able to work autonomously and efficiently with a proactive and problem-solving mindset

  • Teamwork is a must

  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both verbal and written

  • You are proficient in using Google Suite and other tools, such as Slack.

Do note that all our jobs are Barcelona-based. We work in a mostly remote capacity offering great flexibility to our employees, but we believe in the power of getting together regularly in our office. As a first iteration, we expect a 4+ day/month office attendance for which the specifics are decided on a team level.

What does the hiring process look like? **Please, note that all interviews take place remotely over hangouts.**

Intro Call - run by talent acquisition. It will take 30-45 minutes and will focus on giving you more information about the role and the company as well as going over your experience and expectations.

Expertise interview - run by the hiring team, focusing on hard-skills and domain knowledge required for the role. This usually takes 60 minutes.

Stakeholder interview - run by relevant stakeholders. The focus will be on assessing your ability to apply your skill set collaborating with other functions to the Wallapop context. This usually takes 60 minutes.

Competency Interview - run by talent acquisition and/or hiring manager. We will focus on gaining insights and understanding of how you operate in the workplace and your fit to our values. This usually takes 60 minutes.

Final Interview - run by our Head of People as final meeting to get to know you and evaluate your fit within the team.

Offer - should you be the right candidate, your offer will be discussed over a call with talent acquisition and will then be confirmed in writing.
