We are hiring a talented and motivated Software Quality Engineer to work hands-on to introduce advanced test methods & techniques, improve test design and execution, and expand ongoing automation efforts with a focus on product quality and regulatory compliance. #LI-REMOTE
Validate requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Monitor the analysis, design, and execution of test cases, test procedures, and test suites.
Work closely with developers and end users throughout the software life cycle to ensure that applications meet the needs of the users.
Perform testing using a variety of test methodologies, including manual, exploratory, and automated testing.
Author test plans and reports - develop a schedule and allocate test resources for verification efforts.
Implement necessary integration, regression, and verification tests in compliance with regulatory and product needs.
Collaborate with other software engineers to maintain an in-depth understanding of the software architecture.
Participate in constructive peer review of test cases.
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts, and present metrics to the team and management.
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in an agile environment.
Experience writing and executing manual testing for complex software applications; experience in automated testing is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with cross-departmental teams consisting of software developers, department leads, and end users.
Experience testing websites on mobile devices.
Experience with the medical device industry (FDA and ISO) or in another regulated environment.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technical, and mission-focused environment.
