SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER IN CHELTENHAM | RELOCATE TO THE UK WITH WORK VISA SPONSORSHIP

5+ years of experience as a software engineer using Java

Good knowledge of relational databases e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL and NoSQL databases e.g. DynamoDB, MongoDB

Knowledge and understanding of the Spring framework

Good knowledge AWS including Lambda, Elasticsearch, EC2, S3, SQS

Unit, integration tests and test automation

Familiarity with Agile development and CI/CD

Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

Effective communication skills in English

Implement software as part of the development team using established patterns and seek assistance when new patterns are needed

Ensure the team’s software is performant, scales,easy to deploy and support

Increase reliability and confidence in the team’s solution

Use automated testing to increase productivity and move towards a continuous delivery model

Contribute to the recruitment process of other team members

Perform peer code reviews

Help build a supportive culture within the team

Help provide 2nd and 3rd line support when required
