KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Desire to work in a small company and apply your engineering skills as needed to grow the business

  • Desire to create original mixed signal hardware for low to medium volume commercial applications (previous experience developing commercial products from concept to manufacturing plus)

  • Working knowledge of RF electronics design (<3 GHz)

  • Working knowledge of analog circuit design (switching power supplies, signal conditioning, …)

  • Prior experience working in an RF lab (SA, VNA, antennas, …) (<18 GHz)

  • Working knowledge of creating BOM structures, creating AMLs, and processing ECOs

  • General understanding of FCC compliance process (prior FCC intentional radiator approval experience plus)

  • Prior experience designing for UL approval plus

  • Working knowledge of schematic capture, nets list generation, PCB creation, and library management

  • Working knowledge of SPICE and ADS computer simulation of analog and RF circuits (expert EE computer simulation skills plus)

  • Strong engineering report writing skills

  • Strong general laboratory skills (working with 0201 components under a microscope, prototype bring-up, …)

  • Strong skills in interfacing with team members in other engineering disciplines

  • Some knowledge of embedded firmware helpful but not required

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSEE degree from a 4-year accredited school (MSEE or PhDEE degree plus)

  • Minimum 1-2 years work experience or MSEE degree (prior small company work experience plus)

COMPENSATION AND OTHER:

  • $85k-$95k
