Assisting in the management, coordination and development of a range of services for Elderley and vulnerable people
● Providing line management and supervision of the staff team;
● Promoting the practice of working in partnership with elderly people, their families, other Care Home staff and other agencies, in order to meet the needs of young people;
● Providing leadership and guidance towards the objectives of Our Care Home
● Promoting team development and effective team working;
● Maximising the effectiveness of staff through motivation, development and the application of
Our Care Home personnel policies;
● Taking a role in identifying and implementing potential improvements in the services provided
by Home ;
● Contribute to setting and reviewing goals and objectives for all staff;
● Identifying appropriate staff resources in order that key tasks are fulfilled.
● Ensuring sufficient resources are available in emergency/out of hours situations including
participation in an out of hours ‘On-Call’ rota;
● Ensuring that all staff receive appropriate induction, supervision and appraisal;
● Providing an communication pathway to and from the the staff team;
● Responsibility for ensuring the policies and procedures are maintained and implemented;
● Actively participating in recruitment, grievance, disciplinary, health and safety and other
staffing matters;
● Ensuring that staff training and development needs are identified and ensuring that those
needs are met; assisting in training staff as required;
● Ensure that all Health and Safety Regulations are complied with in accordance with Home's, procedures and practices;
● Regularly inspecting the condition of the structure, fabric, furnishings and fittings of the
building to ensure that all necessary equipment, etc. is in good working order and of a
reasonable and acceptable standard of repair;
● Ensuring that effective finance budgets, control, administration and records comply with
Home's expectations and procedures;
● Be willing to work towards completing their management qualification if not already held,
and;
● Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
