We are looking for a research technician to assist in the creation of bonded test coupons used in the study of adhesives and pretreatments. To prepare bond coupons, and coordinate the purchase of substrate materials. Utilizing common servo-mechanical load frames and drop towers, test bonded coupons; record data in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for post-processing. Visa sponsorship is available for this position.
Support research into adhesives and pretreatments through the preparation of bonded test coupons.
Coordinate acquisition of substrate materials to prepare bond coupons.
Test bonded coupons using universal servo-mechanical load frames and drop towers.
Record data within Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for postprocessing.
Extract test samples from parts or assemblies.
Design and manufacture new test fixtures for unique testing.
Maintain and repair test equipment.
Maintain organized and safe laboratories.
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years’ experience in material testing
Demonstrated experience in following detailed process instructions and operating laboratory instruments
Must be organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to machine parts and fixtures
Ability to follow exacting requirements for traceability and record keeping
Passion for innovation
Associates degree in Machining, Technician, Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent
