Ensure that all menu items are prepared, cooked & presented according to HBX specifications - always
Embrace & implement any changes to our menus and kitchens, including set-up, compliance, & product changes as & when requested
Seek opportunities to innovate & evolve our kitchen offering to ensure the success, profitability & profile of our brand, share these with your manager & let’s see if we can make them happen
Get the kitchen prepped & for service, keep the kitchen on point throughout service & then closed to the highest of standards at the end of service.
Support the Head Chef in ensuring inventory is ordered, managed, & stored correctly
Enforce safety standards & compliance requirements

Performance:
Take guidance, feedback & instruction from your line manager. Also, embrace & take on board guidance from our Head of Food & your Area Chef
Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef or Area Chef, as an aspiring Head Chef, you should make it your business to be able to do everything that the Head Chef can do, with the same diligence, confidence & ease
Provide the junior kitchen team with the coaching & support to work to our standards confidently, competently & consistently
Report any maintenance issue to the Head Chef
Be prepared to roll up your sleeves to help everyone in the kitchen, in other words, don’t get precious if you need to wash dishes & get busy doing basic prep etc.
Pride yourself on having an authentic & passionate understanding of the brand & how we source, create & serve our menu
Thrive on teamwork & support your team to guarantee guests always have an awesome experience
