Pulse is currently looking for International Paediatric Intensive Care Unit Senior Staff Nurses (PICU Nurses) for one of the UKs busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts. Who provide a full range of hospital and community services for people in South London and as well as specialist care for patients from further afield including cancer, renal, orthopaedic, respiratory, and cardiovascular services.

What we can offer you:

  • Salary Band 6 pay scale from £33,706 gross per annum (Pre OSCE salary: £23,949).

  • Higher Cost of Living Allowance for London considered

What will be required from you:

Our specialist staff and services mean we care for children and young people with varying complex conditions, providing specialist services including ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation)

  • You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of patients on an ongoing basis

  • You will be responsible for the correct administration of prescribed medication including transfusion of blood and blood products

  • You will be responsible for assessing and recognising emergencies in the speciality

  • You will interpret information and take appropriate action and to lead others to do the same

  • You will manage the clinical workload effectively, ensuring care is prioritised appropriately
