We have multiple opportunities available based in Tasmania, Australia for internationally qualified Registered Nurses who specialise in Operating Theatre or Mental Health. Successful candidates may be eligible for VISA sponsorship and relocation assistance. A competitive salary is on offer, and you will be and supported in your continuing professional development. An indicative salary range is 67-95k, depending on your level of experience. Suitable candidates will either have demonstrated experience in scrub/scout or perioperative nursing for the Operating Theatre Registered Nurse or minimum 3 years postgraduate experience in psychiatric nursing for the Mental Health Registered Nurse opportunities.

As a high performing Registered Nurse, you will deliver nursing care of the highest quality in accordance with the philosophy, objectives, and policies of our client, through efficient utilisation of human and material resources to promote and support physical, mental, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing of patients.
 

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manually handling such as patient transfers, mobility assistance, repositioning, in accordance with manual handling training guidelines.

  • Interact effectively with patients, family/significant others, and other health care team member.

  • Obtain information from the patient and significant others to assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation or nursing care.

  • Establish priorities for the delivery of patient care.

  • Ensure and maintain safe, healthy work practices and conditions.

  • Report and document all incidents in accordance with protocols

  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of the principles of Infection Control

  • participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives,

  • Undertake quality activities and uses findings to contribute to continuous quality improvement in clinical setting.

  • Provide education to patients and family/significant others.

  • Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in nursing (Mental Health Nurse)

  • You currently work without any professional restrictions

  • Current AHPRA Registration or able to obtain
