QUANTITATIVE UX RESEARCHER | RELOCATE WITH WORK VISA SPONSORSHIP

As a Quantitative UX Researcher, you will collaborate with members of a larger UX Research team to examine user needs and respond to client research requests. Both product-related research requests and projects including user research for games will be assigned to you. As a Quantitative UX Researcher, you will use empirical research techniques like survey research, log analysis, and path modeling to assist in addressing research issues. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct internal as well as external UX research for gaming clients and analyze data using various methodologies as well as provide recommendations based on findings

  • Work closely with game development teams to understand their research needs and craft quantitative surveys to answer these needs

  • Analyze and interpret quantitative data for Player Research projects

  • Create actionable insights and game design recommendations rooted in empirical research

  • Craft considered data visualizations for internal and external project reports

  • Work closely with product teams, both internal and external, to continuously improve the Solsten product suite and client experience

  • Understand a broad range of UX research methods and know how to apply them in a fast-paced environment

  • Distill large amounts of information and prioritize it given multiple concurring tasks

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Masters or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Sciences, Game Studies, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, or other relevant fields

  • 3+ years of applied experience analyzing UX research at a gaming company/with game development teams using a wide variety of research methods and tools

  • Strong command of UX Research in games, as well as player psychology

  • Strong quantitative research skills

  • Extensive experience building surveys using various survey tools

  • Strong understanding of and experience with descriptive and inferential statistics

  • Extensive experience with various statistical analysis software

  • Experience with qualitative research methods and analysis software (e.g. ethnographic methods, interviews, contextual inquiry, usability research) is considered an advantage

  • Strong passion for video games

  • Demonstrated experience translating research findings into actionable insights and recommendations

  • Experience working with SaaS products is considered an advantage

  • A passion for creating human-centered experiences, a strong work ethic, excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, excellent writing and communication skills, detail orientation, and comfort in a face-paced startup where ambiguity can be the norm
