This role will require thought leadership and insight into industry trends to interface with the Operational Business to ensure IT and Digital Management solutions are mapped out, process requirements and user stories are gathered, that Business Case and technical specification documentation are aligned and communicated effectively demonstrating the value of IT investment in Special Vehicle Operations as aligned to the Digital strategy.This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team of IT/ Digital Product Managers working closely with the SVO Businesses - Special Vehicles, Vehicle Personalisation, Classic, Event Vehicle Operations and Bowler. You'll also be responsible for the following:-

  • Capturing and ensuring traceability of requirements from IT deliverables to business requirements and business process maps (current state and future state) to support strategy and Integrated Business Planning and Product roadmaps.

  • Proactively utilising external insights and industry trends to help determine opportunities and solutions for Special Vehicle Operations.

  • Budgeting and forecasting projects.

  • Focusing on operational capabilities, systems and processes covering Manufacturing & Supply Chain and Product Engineering within Special Operations, with a strong focus on integration with Core systems, data and processes.

  • Interfacing with the operational business areas to translate problem statements into a defined set of requirements the Digital organisation can deliver against.

  • Assisting with producing high level cost analysis and scoping for Digital projects and programmes - working with operational business to understand current processes and document and prioritise requirements for changes/additions.

  • Engaging with Core Product Managers to understand where changes in technology can be introduced.

  • Maintaining partnerships to bring innovative solutions and best practice ideas into SVO.

  • Conducting research activities to ensure SVO Digital solutions delivers measurable value.

  • Producing and presenting management information for operational and senior stakeholders to inform key business decision making.

  • Interfacing with Special Vehicle Operations Digital Delivery and Product Management counterparts (architects, developers, network planners, strategists) ensuring technical details feed into the overall requirements.

  • Contributing to cross-functional working with the wider Digital organisation and Product Management community to plan initiatives.

  • Support the SVO Operations Digital Product Manager with short- and long-term strategic planning.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

To be successful in the role you will need the following skills and experience: -

  • Proven experience in a similar role in Information Management Technology, ideally gained within a Manufacturing facing IT organisation, understanding of data flows and system dependencies.

  • Strong analytical data background, project management and delivery skills.

  • Strong analytical skills supported by advanced communication and presentation skills – used to translating IT related issues for operational teams.

  • Ability to multi-task, work accurately at speed, balancing delivery of conceptual work with attention to detail and awareness of delivery.

Additional experience and skills that would be advantageous: -

  • Qualified Skills Framework for the Information Age at level 5 or working towards.

For promotions, the salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including the size of and skills required for the role, the external market value of the role and your individual knowledge and experience.
