We are hunting for a seasoned product owner, with solid experience across all known, unknown product development stages and strategies. The right candidate is a highly creative problem solver, who is both insights and research-driven, and has a good grasp on how to build a global product that moves monies around.
• Diverse thinking and fresh ideas. Thinking big or even a little bigger than that.
• Collaborating with prospective customers and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
• Defining the vision for the team’s product.
• Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements.
• Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development.
• Developing user stories.
• Own the product flow and make sure it is visible to the team.
• Monitoring and evaluating product progress and bottlenecks at each stage of the process.
• Liaising with the product team and customers to deliver updates.
• Participating in product, marketing and ops meetings to ensure alignment.
• Analysing product usage data to bring the best experience to our customers.
• Creating an incredibly creative and smart product vision and roadmap.
• Staying on top of trends and competitor products.
• You are the main point of contact for all stakeholders.
• Driving the evolution of the product and user experience.
• Good heart. Growth mindset. Diverse thinking. In that order.
• No fear of failure. Not even a glimpse. Jump in head first kinda person.
• Can run wild unattended and come back with gems but also finds joy in co-creating.
• A deep love and understanding of small businesses. Bonus points if you had one of your own.
• You can recognise a trend coming before everyone else. In fact, you set them.
• An incredible track record in owning products that not only work well but also look amazing.
• You eat apps and web portals for breakfast. Deep understanding of how all this all works.
• You owned a product that moved money around before. You get fintechs and finance.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize effectively.
• Data gets you really excited. So excited that it is embarrassing for the company at times.
• The customer is why you wake up in the morning. You want her/him to get the best experience humanly possible.
• Working knowledge of product development architecture.
• Excellent oral and written communication. Fluent in English
• Ability to work with large teams.
• Understanding of design quality standards.
• You’re the type of person who listens to understand, not to respond. But when you do respond, you blow everyone away (at least some of the time).
• You understand the real problem before coming up with solutions.
• You’re not afraid to speak up and get your hands dirty.
