Responsibilities of this role include creating, leading and managing an Application Team by providing support, direction and guidance to ensure the function is adequately skilled, developed, and correctly resourced to meet our business needs. You will report back to senior management on team performance and ticket volumes with a continuous service improvement plan. You’ll ensure with the team that business applications are reliable, consistent, secured and properly governed, whilst improving and optimising operational performance of applications. You’ll closely cooperate with the IT Service Management Team to ensure that applications are properly supported by a strong and reliable IT infrastructure.
 

 
You will understand the technology capabilities within the application/system area and apply this knowledge to help solve Ocado’s problems. The successful applicant will also contribute to creating and maintaining an outstanding list of work with an order of priority, ensuring that technical projects and tasks are considered alongside business change initiatives, and contribute to managing the demand side of IT governance and communicate high-level business requirements to IT functional groups. You will also propose changes or solutions to products and services for optimal business results, whilst supporting with coordination and stakeholder facilitation and wider business change management.
 
About you
 

 
You will have relevant industry experience or technology business experience. You will have demonstrable application management experience and previous experience of transitioning products from project into service. You will have the ability to capture business needs and user requirements to support product realisation, and proven ability to plan, manage, track and deliver on commitments. The successful applicant will also have proven team management skills, including motivation and development support, and stakeholder engagement skills, whilst having the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. Working within the ITIL Framework is also a requirement.
 

 
Desirable but not essential:
 

 
ARAS and FIXX application knowledge. You will have experience with Asset Lifecycle Management and Product Lifecycle Management applications.
