We are seeking Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team. We are an approved Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot program employer. The RNIP is a new community-driven immigration program designed to create a path to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers who want to work and live in Ontario Canada.
The Personal Support Worker works under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse and Registered Practical Nurse, providing personal care to residents and respecting their physical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs and preferences. Personal Support Workers are active members of the Interprofessional Team, assisting in the planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of individualized resident focused plans of care, in compliance with the Ontario Long Term Care Act.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess a progressive track record in providing exceptional client-centred care. You will possess the following qualifications:
Personal Support Worker Certificate* OR Registration as a nurse or practical nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Experience working with elderly clients
Experience in a long term care home preferred
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Demonstrated regular attendance at work
