Positions are now open for skilled painting trade workers from other countries who want to relocate to Australia and join the team on a variety of residential projects and large-scale projects in Sydney. People who fit the requirements may be eligible for 482 employer-sponsored visas (2-4 years).
Generating scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
Selecting and preparing paints to required colors by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
Applying paints, varnishes, and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint.
Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler.
Tape, float, and texture walls and ceilings.
Maintain inventory of tools and assist with inventory control of materials and equipment. Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
Work with building principals and supervisors to complete projects.
Other duties are needed
Minimum 3 to 5 years proven employment history record
Meet 482 visa requirement.
With Vocational Certificate or Equivalent
Hard working with can-do attitude
Ability to take direction and responsibility for end results
Experience painting residential or commercial spaces.
Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards.
Good planning and organization skills.
Attention to detail.
Solid communication skills.
