OPERATIONS MANAGER, REMOTE | $74,000 - $110,000 ANNUALLY | WORK FROM HOME

As an Operations Manager, you will collaborate with GMs, Managing Directors, and others to drive forward successful launch and accelerator program activities for each program, in addition to evaluating and building new and evolving processes to improve outcomes. You will set operational priorities supporting programs in your region, lead new program launch and accelerator new hire onboarding, coordinate with internal teams, and lead engagements with partners. You will also support best practice sharing and adoption among existing program staff as they run accelerator programs year after year. In addition, the Operations Manager will manage an Operations Coordinator in the region with the possibility of also managing contractors such as design or data-focused roles, helping to prioritize their time spent supporting program teams and founders in the accelerator programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create new and redefine existing accelerator program processes to improve quality and efficiency in partnership with other members of the Accelerator Operations team and program teams

  • Complete internal projects to address identified pain points and priorities in coordination with other members of the Accelerator Operations team using a test and iterate approach

  • Prioritize pain points to address and best practices to share using qualitative and quantitative data analysis

  • Manage Operations Coordinator(s) and potentially full-time employees and/or contractors in the region

  • Create and deliver documents for accelerator partners and support key meetings and deliverables with accelerator partners on an ongoing basis

  • Partner with program teams to support them on all operational aspects of the program launch from new hire onboarding, readiness review, and operational best practices training through successful program launch and completion

  • Work with IT Product Managers to recommend, test, and implement system improvements focused on program team and founder experience and improving our ability to grow and scale

  • Identify any potential issues or challenges in program engagement and work with the internal team on appropriate support and resolutions

  • Collaborate with internal Techstars resources for the successful execution of new programs

  • Manage multiple new program launches at once

Qualifications:

  • Excited about supporting the Techstars mission

  • Passionate about working cross-functionally across Techstars and with other companies to create and implement innovative solutions and ideas; operationally driven with a client management focus

  • Comfortable using data to drive decision-making, including thoughtful approaches to obtaining data and basic data analytics using Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Experience with process improvement and best practice identification and sharing

  • Experience managing people

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and engage people you don't manage; comfortable leading meetings and driving the process forward with senior corporate executives

  • Works well both independently and in a team environment

  • Self-motivated and organized

  • Loves details and knows how to communicate them across a large group of people

  • Ability to manage multiple large and complex projects at the same time

  • 4-6 years of experience in client-facing project management

  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience

  • Techstars Program Manager experience beneficial or experience with a startup accelerator program as a Lead or Operations Associate will be additionally valued

Compensation range: $74,000 to 110,000
