For seasoned gynaecology nurses with training in ultrasound scanning and the administration of care for women who visit our gynecology emergency department, there is an interesting opportunity available. Extensive experience working within a gynaecology or women's health setting.
Preferably educated to masters level or demonstrate the ability to work at this level.

Provide and support the delivery of high quality nursing care and suppor for women with early pregnancy complications and acute gynaecological problems
Work autonomously and as part of the specialist gynaecology team. You will also act as a resource to other professionals regarding early pregnancy, emergency gynaecology, associated treatment and issues.
Perform and report ultrasounds for early pregnancy and gynaecology.
Be able to counsel women undergoing pregnancy loss as well as other gynaecological emergencies,.
Essential
Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
Recognised ultrasound qualification in early pregnancy and gynaecology
Teaching or Mentorship course
Evidence of continuing professional development
Gynaecology Course
Desirable
Relevant nursing/health related degree, masters or willingness to undertake
Independent Prescriber or willingness to undertake
Essential
Minimum 2 years' experience in Gynaecology at band 6 level
Experience in scanning (transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound) patients presenting with early pregnancy or as a gynaecological emergencies
Experience of managing /leading a team and co-ordinating workload
Demonstrate the use audit to improve the quality of the service and patient care

Ability to translate complex specialised medical information into patient suitable language
