On a secluded island in Antigua, my client is an all-inclusive resort located in the Caribbean. I'm helping them in their hunt for an innovative Executive Chef to oversee the resort's culinary operations and serve guests with top-notch cuisine.
Oversee the resort’s culinary operations including food safety regulations, staff management, inventory management and cost controls
Develop menus to reflect the resort’s concepts. Ensure efficient preparation, plating, and service of food while upholding the utmost standards of quality service
Optimise back of house operations to maximise revenue potential and uphold the resort’s integrity and reputation
Support the full recruitment process of kitchen team members
Provide leadership and guidance to the back of house team members. Creating and developing a motivating and team work environment
5 years experience in a comparable role, preferably within a luxury hotel/resort
Strong business and financial acumen
Confident, calm, approachable and professional individual with exceptional communication and time management skills
A self-motivated, natural leader who can support and inspire team members
Experience using hospitality software systems is an asset
