We are looking for a NFT Team Manager to head up a new team within Compliance. The individual chosen for this role should have the demonstrated ability to develop, communicate, and manage policies and procedures to various Client Engagement teams, lines of business and upper management, proactively identify risks factors associated with NFT Collections, manage and oversee reviews of NFT marketplace flagged content and support management as appropriate, and assess overall customer risk and regulatory requirements. The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively between multiple teams in the organisation. They should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and they are committed to the values of teamwork, integrity, and adaptability. Additionally, they should display strong ability to manage a team of both senior and junior associates, assess production work and reviews, make recommendations and determinations, manage multiple work streams and duties.
Be the subject matter expert (SME) for Compliance and Operations related to NFT project listings, due diligence requirements for collections, regulatory compliance for NFTs, content moderation to ensure Kraken customers have the best in class NFT Marketplace experience.
Deep collaboration with Product teams to ensure that all compliance and content moderation requirements are met while developing seamless user journey
Collaborate with internal Compliance functions to ensure consistency and alignment within the department.
Interact with Compliance Officers and executive management in all subsidiaries to ensure regional regulations and expectations are met
Manage and address regulatory inquiries, examination deliverables, audit requests, and remediation needs, as necessary.
Respond to and manage client and internal departmental escalations and queries regarding NFT listing due diligence and content management procedures and policies.
Evaluate NFT Collections and form a recommendation on a case-by-case basis.
Develop and Manage Policies and Procedures related to the conducting and assessment of open source research and review related to the due diligence review process, content moderation strategy and standards.
Manage the DMCA.
Reporting and take down and relisting process.
Manage and track various communication channels and provide timely responses to all stakeholders.
Identify trends, patterns, and new regulatory proposals dynamically that could have a noteworthy impact on our team’s efficiency and develop workflow efficiencies.
Familiarise yourself with the inter-department responsibilities.
Perform due diligence checks on customers as required.
Communicate effectively to coordinate cross-functional projects.
Perform research in support of ad-hoc NFT related projects.
10 years management experience in Content Management, NFTs, Social Media or Cryptocurrency related industries.
Deep knowledge and experience in the NFT Marketplace Environment and Community, including an in-depth understanding of the technical aspects and overall general community culture.
Bachelor’s degree - Advanced degree a plus.
Experience with customer onboarding, KYC, CDD and customer risk rating and technologies and systems utilised.
Executive level communication and organisational skills.
Proven track record and experience working with, and technical implementations of, multiple vendors related to product listings, KYC, content moderation management.
Deep familiarity with regulatory requirements and regulatory bodies in Europe and US, and other jurisdictions, including banking, capital markets, money transmission, marketing and communications.
Demonstrated ability to author detailed business requirements and effectively communicate with engineering/technology teams.
Prior success in project management and driving cross functional teams to execute and deliver on strategically important initiatives.
Quantitative analysis and decision making.
