Working as part of our Product Management team, you will design new and innovative music creation capabilities and workflow functionality for Pro Tools software which hundreds of thousands of our customers depend upon worldwide. With a high degree of music creation and production knowledge you will be responsible to understand our customer needs and challenges to then interpret them into software solutions with clear design definitions for our engineering team to develop. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in MIDI and music creation workflows along with previous experience of delivering music software technology to the market. While this position should preferably be based in the United States or Canada, we are willing to consider different options in order to hire the right person, such as remote work from other locations and/or visa sponsorship.
Have and continue to develop a thorough understanding of music creation users of all experience levels, the marketplace, our competitors and trends; and communicate these to team members and stakeholders
Work closely with the Product Manager to develop a 2–3-year innovative Pro Tools music creation roadmap that align with our business objectives
Ability to design new innovative music capabilities with clear definitions for the engineering team to follow
Within a scrum framework, work closely with the engineering teams to implement product designs
Work closely with the product marketing manager to clearly communicate the commercial value of the new functionality develop into a release
Actively work close with our beta team and have the knowledge of how to validate prototype designs for new capabilities
Keep stakeholders informed of progress of development of new functionality and timeline deliverables, changes, and potential issues
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Essential requirements:
A passion for music creation and production as well as enabling other musicians to create
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to communicate priorities to stakeholders at all levels
Excellent decision-making skills
Experience of Agile and the Scrum Framework
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work in a team environment
Collaborative work style with a positive and friendly attitude
Ability to collaborate as well as work independently
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, or a related subject.
3+ years prior experience delivering music products to market; or extensive experience in a user-focused role in the music technology industry
Demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex problems with high level attention to detail required
Strategic thinker and creative problem solver always looking for most optimal solution
