What will be required from you:

Our specialist staff and services mean we care for children and young people with varying complex conditions, providing specialist services including ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation)

  • You will work independently/autonomously and at times without direct supervision, accountable for their own professional actions.

  • You will independently manage a group of patients within the specialty whilst working as part of the multidisciplinary team, delivering individualised and personalised direct patient care

  • You will be responsible for assessment of care needs of patients

  • You will be planning programmes of care and will be responsible for implementation and evaluation of these programmes without direct supervision. 

  • At times you will have management responsibility for being in-charge of the ward and supervising junior members of staff.

  • You will manage the clinical workload effectively, ensuring care is prioritised appropriately

  • You will promote a safe environment and high standards of care

  • You will educate patients and carers in specialist area and give advice to discharged patients.
