The role will provide the unique opportunity to work within a private healthcare unit within an NHS Foundation Trust. The I&PC Directorate has 53 dedicated inpatients beds and an outpatient clinic.

Education, training and qualifications
 
Essential criteria
 

  • Education to A-level standard or NVQ/Diploma at Level 3 or Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification or Previous experience in a similar role

  • Demonstrate evidence of commitment to professional development


 
Desirable criteria
 

  • AMSPAR qualified or equivalent secretarial training or agreement to work towards medical terminology.


 
Skills and abilities
 
Essential criteria
 

  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate service related information clearly to staff at all levels

  • Ability to provide and receive complex or sensitive non-clinical information to staff, consultants and families.

  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and act on own initiative

  • Proven use of Microsoft Word, Excel and other software packages to produce reports and conduct data analysis.

  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude in a pressured environment


 
Experience/Knowledge
 
Essential criteria
 

  • Experience of working in administration and/or customer service

  • Previous administrative experience in a similar private healthcare setting

  • Multidisciplinary working, demonstrating all round communication skills.
