Working Hours
38 Hours per week: Mon – Thurs 8 am –5 pm, Fri 8 am – 3 pm
Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, duties will include:
Take a lead role in projects
Design, plan and coordinate on mechanical projects
Contribute to design strategy and conceptual design on mechanical installations
Design mechanical installations including the production of design drawings and diagrams, to relevant British Standards and, Building Regulations
Undertake design calculations for the design of mechanical installations within major building projects
Prepare specifications and design stage reports
Ensure compliance with current legislation
Attend design meetings, virtually and in person
Provide coaching to junior engineers
Education:
Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
5+ years of post-qualification experience as a building service mechanical design engineer
Working knowledge of British Building Regulations/BS EN Standards/CIBSE Guidance Documents
Excellent project management skills
Able to meet deadlines
Skilful in AutoCAD
Experience in the M and E sector
