LEGAL COUNSEL | REMOTE

We are looking for a dynamic and business-savvy qualified lawyer to join our growing Legal team. This mid-level attorney role will be focused on contract drafting and negotiation for our rapidly expanding Creator Program as well as media/intellectual property-related partnerships. This role will mainly provide support to the contractual and transactional work in the EMEA region. The position will involve owning the deal flow process — from initial request through execution and will require providing quick, concise and commercially focused legal advice. The role will also include maintaining an organized legal documentation system, performing analytical and/or organizational projects and supporting the negotiation of agreements as needed.

The ideal candidate is excited by the opportunity to work and advise on partnerships in the constantly evolving social media creator space, adept at taking and implementing productive feedback, and motivated to build rapport and trust with Legal and Sales and Partnerships team members.

To succeed in this role, candidates should be fast learners, well-organized with excellent interpersonal skills, and have a business-partner mindset. Ideally, this lawyer will be well-versed in technology and media/content or the creator ecosystem.

As this role will involve large amounts of drafting, editing, and writing, excellent writing skills are an absolute must.

This position requires cross-functional collaboration with our global offices (including Los Angeles, New York, and Paris). A Paris-based applicant is preferred, but the position will initially be filled remotely.

This role will report to the Head of Legal EMEA based in Paris.

· Draft, review, and revise agreements and amendments utilizing legal department templates and in accordance with legal affairs best practices.

· Directly liaise with the Creator Partnerships team throughout the entire deal flow process.

· Manage and update various Creator Program legal templates.

· Create, organize, manage, and maintain a library of negotiated language and other legal memos.

· Track contract process and prepare status reports as required.

· Assist in contract negotiation and agreement interpretation issues, including recommending contract language and strategies to achieve business goals in compliance with company policies and legal affairs best practices.

· Take on additional legal affairs projects and responsibilities as may be directed from time-to-time by a legal supervisor

· Fully fluent English and another European language (preferably Spanish, German , Italian)

· Minimum of 3-6 years of relevant legal experience in a high-volume, fast-paced legal environment, preferably in new media/digital companies. Experience in a law firm is a plus.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including great attention to detail and proofreading skills.

· Great multi-tasker with excellent judgment and the ability to prioritize as necessary to effectively meet deadlines.

· Desire and ability to work closely and collaboratively with legal and business team members while proactively and independently taking ownership of projects within the scope of the Legal Counsel role.

· Experience practicing entertainment law, preferably in digital/new media and the social media creator space.

· Multilingual fluency would be a plus
