As Legal Counsel you will work alongside colleagues from Sales, Operations, HR and Finance departments in a challenging, international and commercial environment. This is a versatile role, where you would be involved in all legal matters affecting the company.
As such, your responsibilities will include:
Analysing, summarizing and advising on complex legal documents, including contracts, and making suggestions for alterations of those documents
Negotiating with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes
Negotiating and drafting commercial contracts
Anticipating and mitigating potential legal problems within the organization and developing strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce potential areas of risk
Corporate secretary activities and support in establishing policies and procedures
Ensure WCCs foreign entities remain compliant with local legislation (in close alignment with HR and Finance)
Optimizing and maintaining a clear and structured repository of contracts and other relevant legal documents
Consulting with management, commercial advisors, accountants and marketing staff
Requirements:
A Law degree, preferably with a specialization in commercial and/or international business law;
4+ years’ work experience at a law firm, or in a similar role, additional in-house experience, particularly with financial and/or international contracts is an advantage;
The ability to work with a diverse and international group of people;
Experience with GDPR compliance, privacy law requirements and drafting DPAs;
Legal and drafting skills, superior ability to draft contracts in English;
Pragmatism and flexibility, the ability to compromise between legal theory and commercial reality;
Dynamic, proactive and result-oriented approach
Ability to balance legal and commercial interests
