As our Legal Counsel HR, you will be dedicated to HR issues, tackling all aspects of Labour Law at our company in France and the countries we're in. You will be part of the Legal Team led by Alexia, our VP Legal, and you will be the key point of contact to our business partners!

👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As Legal Counsel HR at Qonto, you will
 

 

 
Provide legal advice and guidance to the People Team and the leadership team in all labour and employment areas of the company's business across all jurisdictions (FR, IT, DE, ES) and define policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws
 
Define strategy for employment litigation and monitor the litigation process with the assistance of external counsels
 
Manage local outside employment counsels (FR, IT, DE, ES)
 
Strengthen the collaboration with the People team including reviewing and updating all existing processes and implementing new processes as needed
 
Keep the company's senior management informed of significant labour and employment decisions, legislation, and regulatory rulings that may affect the company's business or policies
 
Provide training to the company's People team and business leaders on an ongoing basis
 
Assist in the development of broader legal strategies to help effectively position Qonto for future employee growth both domestically and internationally
 
• Manage the legal side and contractual aspects concerning external resources, in collaboration with the People team and business leaders (freelancers and external consultants)

🏅 About You
 

 

 
Experience: You have at least 5 years of experience practicing French labor law in a law firm or in-house
 
Academic Background: You have a Master's degree in French Law focusing on Labour Law
 
Business-oriented: You are able to put your legal expertise in perspective with Qonto’s business and always provide recommendations that are business-oriented
 
Communication & Teamwork: You have good communication skills and are able to work across diverse teams and cultures
 
Analytical mind & rigorous: You have excellent organization and planning skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
 
Curious mindset: You are curious, open-minded, adaptable, fast learner, and willing to join a dynamic startup environment
 
Mastery: You are a self-starter; able to work with minimal supervision
 
Languages: You are fluent in both French and English. Being fluent in Spanish, German or Italian is a definite plus

- Video calls or onsite interviews with future team members (optional) to help you envision yourself at the company
 
- A final video call or onsite interview with the manager of your future Department
