We are looking for a Mid-Level Legal Content Officer specializing in Investment Law & Arbitration, Public International Law and WTO Law / International Trade Law to join the Legal Content team in Paris.

You will primarily be in charge of maintaining the quality of our Wiki Notes that currently provide lawyers with a thorough and neutral analysis of 275 investment arbitration and investment law legal concepts with references to case documents published in our database. The Wiki Notes are authored by legal experts from all over the world and edited by an experienced Editorial Team of practitioners and academics.

You will also expand Wiki Notes to new areas of Public International Law and International Trade Law.

Finally, you will oversee other projects related to our legal content and our product with respect to our investment law, public international law and WTO law / international trade law datasets.

You will report to the Head of Legal Content and you will work with other Legal Content Officers of the team. You will also work in collaboration with other teams of the companies (notably the product, tech, data science and data collection, partnership and marketing teams).
 
Your Mission
 
Your main tasks will be to:
 

  • Ensure the scientific quality of the Wiki Notes;

  • Ensure that the Wiki Notes meet the needs of our users (primarily law firms and governments);

  • Participate in the elaboration of new Wiki Notes (designing the content, selecting editors and authors, implementing publication policies, overseeing the publication's daily operations);

  • Ensure that our legal content and the product in the areas of investment arbitration, public international law and international trade law meet the needs of our users (primarily law firms and governments).

  • You have at least 3-5 years of experience in investment arbitration, public international law and WTO law / international trade law . You worked as an associate in an international disputes team of a law firm (preferably with some experience in representing States) and / or as a lawyer in an arbitral institution and / or in the international disputes department of a government.

  • You have academic and / or publishing experience (ideally as an editor or editorial assistant in the international law or arbitration field).

Skills
 

  • You have an excellent knowledge of investment arbitration, public international law and international trade law, with strong research and drafting skills. Knowledge of other fields of international law such as human rights is a plus.

  • You have excellent editorial skills.

  • You understand the needs of our users (law firms and governments) and how to adapt our legal content and product to those needs.

  • You are rigorous and well-organized, with problem-solving skills.

  • You embrace challenges and take initiatives, you are trustworthy and welcome feedback.

  • You share our vision of making international law and arbitration accessible and understandable worldwide.

Languages
 

  • You are an English native speaker or fluent close to native. Knowledge of a second language, such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and / or German would be an asset.

Education
 

  • Master's degree in international law and / or international arbitration and bar examination or Ph.D.
