We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and highly motivated Wellsite and Thin Section Laboratory Technician to join our Geological Analysis team! As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality geological and environmental thin-section samples using established and bespoke laboratory procedures which critically underpin an exciting and diverse range of commercial and research projects. These samples are analyzed by our geological analysis and interpretation teams to help our clients better understand their surface challenges. You will be expected to work in a team, based at our laboratories in North Wales and other locations in the UK or overseas, including onshore and offshore (wellsite and on vessels). Depending on your experience, interests, and training, you may also work in multiple laboratories involving wet chemistry (e.g., acids and solvents), specialist machinery (e.g., rock saw, thin sectioning, filtration), and advanced analytical equipment. Sponsorship of visas/comprehensive relocation packages is available.

Project Management- To understand the business requirements, project deadlines and workload
Essential
Relevant experience as a Laboratory Technician or similar.
Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Science, Maths and English.
Strong IT skills with background knowledge of Laboratory defined databases
Desirable
Higher Education qualification, HNC, HND or University Degree
OPTI FOET and CA-EBS qualification (although training can be given)
First Aid Trained
Excellent understanding of electrical and mechanical workings of appliances
