The purpose of this role is to manage supply chain processes on a global level and continuously improve the supply chain performance of our company. Our supply chain organization consist of logistic sites all around the globe that are managed by local logistic engineers. The (Junior) Supply Chain Manager will have the opportunity to define, plan, control, and monitor supply chain activities on a global level. Main objective is to align all processes, the way of working and operational procedures, in order to create the best logistic organization. The (Junior) Supply Chain Manager works closely together with local DC Operations teams, Product Management and Procurement. 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor logistics processes in our (inter)national entities and make sure the processes run smoothly.

  • Create the required awareness, focus and skills within the organization to optimize the operational processes in collaboration with other departments.

  • Communicate frequently with the local logistic engineers to support and manage their operations

  • Create net value by the leveraging worldwide logistics organization and synchronizing supply and demand

  • Work closely with procurement and DC Ops so that we order the right amount of stock at the right time. Initiate reallocation of stock to other entities where necessary

  • Evaluate and report on KPIs

What’s next?

As a next step in your career, you can for example grow into a Business Process Owner role where you are responsible for all Supply Chain Management processes and translate business requirements to system requirements. Next to that, you can take up the responsibility for our Supply Chain strategy and keep it up to the latest standards.

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of experience within logistic operations/ supply chain management on a global level

  • You have experience in working with systems that support supply chain processes such as SAP or equivalent

  • Experience in Service Parts management and/or high-tech environments is a pre

  • You have proven skills in creating and managing logistic environments

  • You have experience acting on several levels of the logistical environment; on planning, capacity and execution

  • Strong communication skills as well as organizational and project management skills
