JUNIOR PRODUCT OWNER, REMOTE | WORK FROM HOME

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Product Owner, Business Analyst or QA Tester to fulfil the role of Feature Product Owner. This role involves working with our development teams, consultants and Senior Product Owners. We expect you to have strong data and analytical skills, understand technology and be able to take forward the product vision. In addition, we are looking for someone with:

  • Strong analysis skills, to write user stories, acceptance criteria and technical specifications and requirements

  • Ability to work in an Agile / Scrum product-based organization

  • Experience of modelling system workflows, components and data models

  • Systematic approach to complexity

  • Experience of a problem-solving approach and the ability to provide creative solutions

  • Excellent written and spoken English


 

Other members of the team will be working remotely from you, so an ability to take ownership of issues, self-manage and self-motivate is essential. You will be acting as the Feature Product Owner for an Agile Scrum team, so you should be comfortable with participating in estimating, backlog refining and sprint planning meetings. Communication is a key skill to enable you to work effectively with the rest of the team and understand cross-impacts. You must be flexible enough to adapt to a rapidly changing development landscape, whilst managing your time effectively to be able to meet deadlines.


 

The Feature Product Owner role involves collaborating with the development team to ensure that features are developed correctly and according to the general standards. This involves:


 

· Writing user stories to the definition of ready

· Developing acceptance criteria

· Frequent product inspection

· Gathering requirements

· Refining stories in the product backlog

· Contributing to the evolution of best practice within the team and department

· Writing and reviewing technical documentation

· Facilitating cross functional workshops to determine stories and acceptance criteria

· Keeping the backlog up to date

· Collaborating with the development team as well as others to deliver high quality solutions

· Proactively identifying areas of improvement


 

Essential skills

· Business Analysis, including writing user stories

Job Location and Hours:

The role will be performed remotely. You will be expected to provide and maintain your own equipment and internet connection to allow you to work from home and connect to our VPN i.e. PC, Microsoft teams, broadband and phone. Once connected to our office there are servers and other infrastructure available for you to use. A standard week is 40 hours over 5 full-time professional days (normally from 9am to 6pm GMT Monday to Friday).
