As a Junior Buyer in our Young Fashion Cluster, you are part of a high performing team, creating new and innovative assortments with a customer focus. You are responsible for multi-branded buying, reporting under Senior Buyer.
• Identification of the best product selection for the young fashion brands, you will be responsible for increasing performance indicators of your portfolio of brands
• Trade brands in WHS, Hybrid and Marketplace Model, taking into consideration footwear trends for european market opportunities, sustainability, inclusivity and negotiating the best terms for Zalando whilst continuing to manage daily relationships with existing suppliers
• Understand and own your KPIs and collaborate with the merchandise team to plan up front budgets and support the in season OTB
• Cross functional expertise is required to build successful relationships with other departments like tech teams, logistics, partner program, marketing and content
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business or comparable field. 2-3 years of fashion buying experience in a head office or within an e-commerce retailer, preferably having a background within footwear and branded buying
• Excellent analytical skills with knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel and Powerpoint) and Google Tools
• Negotiation is in your blood and you are always a compelling figure when communicating with suppliers and other stakeholders.
• A passion for trends and fashion is needed with an understanding of how this links to the markets within Europe. An ability to showcase your knowledge of trends alongside facts is crucial
