We are a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a permanent role for an International Children’s Social Worker to work full-time based in Pembrokeshire. The salary for this permanent International Children’s Social Worker job is £31,346 - £33,782 per annum.
Duties:
Carry out social work tasks related to assessments, care planning, and the development of support packages in order to promote the welfare of children
Undertake initial and core assessments in compliance with the Assessment Framework/undertake statutory duties in respect of children looked after/undertake duties in respect of children on a Care and Support Protection Plan/undertake duties in respect of other children on Care and Support Plan/undertake care proceedings
Develop care plans and support packages/undertake any other tasks as required/undertake to qualify and take the role of practice assessor and/or practice facilitator for social work students on placement
Input data onto Care First
Work within the Wales Safeguarding Procedures and Pembrokeshire Child Care Procedures
Requirements of the International Children’s Social Worker:
Degree or equivalent in social work/current Social Work Wales registration
Significant senior level frontline experience within Children’s Services
Be able to have good time management skills and be able to maintain accurate and clear records using Care First/be able to establish, maintain and develop working relationships with children and young people, families, foster carers and professionals involved in care planning/be able to communicate clearly and honestly whilst maintaining a focus on the needs of the child
The ability to manage risky behaviours within a multi-disciplinary framework is essential/the ability to work autonomously whilst ensuring adherence to safe working policies and supervision policies is important
