Senior HPESD (Orchestration-tool) developer - Rotterdam | On target earning: 70K gross per year + benefits. We are building complete solutions and products focused on the broadcasting and telecom industry using SD-WAN-Based software. It’s an innovative hub with a big diversity in projects. From greenfield projects where you will design, build and deliver end-to-end prototypes to large scalable BigData frameworks. As an HPESD developer, you are focusing on complex declarative modeling systems and challenging orchestration tools while developing Java/Spring Boot apps and being responsible for Jenkins pipelines (CI/CD) in a cloud-based landscape together with your self-managing team (SAFe).
Tasks:
You model, develop and configure network automation for our small-medium and enterprise customers. You do this in a declarative way with the help of an orchestration application (HPE Service Director). You write BDD test cases for the modeled services in Cucumber and JUnit. You extend our toolchain mainly using Java. The end-user services as well as the management applications are running in the cloud. As part of an interdisciplinary DevOps team, you closely collaborate with your colleagues in an agile setup. By openly sharing new ideas, you help your team members, and you consult with customers on the features you build. You document, test, and operate your applications and integrations, and you provide support during the application's lifecycles. Open and willing to learn new technologies!
Requirements:
Declarative modeling of services and business logic (e.g. OpenStack Heat Orchestration Templates, Apache Drools, State Machine Modelling, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform)
Programming experience in Java
Linux skills for a developer
Experience in working with CI/CD toolchain (Knowledge of tools is optional: Ansible, Jenkins, Maven)
Experience with cloud technologies: OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
Basic knowledge of networking, routing and SD-WAN
Experience with agile methodologies in an international setup is an advantage
Bachelor's or Master's degree (ETH/Uni/UAS) in computer science or equivalent work experience
Very good English
