What You'll Do
Build people policies and practices for the company
Provides confidential and comprehensive coordination and administrative support of a complex nature related to Onboarding/Offboarding and all employee life cycle actions (i.e. attendance and leaves, policy guidelines, etc.) and where necessary directing queries to the best person or team to deal with them
Identify top talent through a variety of passive channels including research, boolean, referrals, databases, events, and sourcing campaigns
Interview and pre-screen candidates prior to transferring them to hiring managers
Keep candidates warm and engaged! Manage the existing pipeline of candidates through regular and well-adapted communications
Maintains current knowledge of human resources policies and procedures, and applicable collective agreements
Maintaining office efficiency by implementing office systems, controlling correspondence, and monitoring clerical functions
General administration: Helping out with a wide range of business and personal tasks as they come up (including expenses, appointments, and any other ad hoc requests)
Your Skills and Experience
Experience working in a startup and building policies and practices from the ground up
Proactive with a bias for action and getting things done
Have a passion for building and managing relationships both internally and externally
A self-start with a tenacity for execution and delivery
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance the needs of the business and the employees while adhering to compliance
