We are growing incredibly quickly, so building an all-star ops team is critical to the success of the project. As the first HR Manager you will play a key strategic role at the company. Your day-to-day tasks will vary widely, and will require you to be flexible, proactive, strategic, and efficient. We’re still a small team, which lends itself to high degrees of autonomy, impact, and accountability. Responsibilities
 

  • Work with the HR director to run compensation planning, headcount modeling, OKR setting, and capacity planning;

  • Process job changes in our HR tool to ensure correct information is entered in a timely manner. Incl. processing manager changes, department transfers, promotions, compensation changes and bonus payments

  • Implement and streamline process oriented talent onboarding & offboarding, and process essential new hire paperwork, ensuring compliance deadlines are met, as well as sending necessary communications to the new hires regarding important information

  • Provide new employees with resources and internal tools to ensure they are set-up for success on their first day

  • Drive employee engagement, and inspire a high performance work culture

  • Refine HR processes and procedures, and implement industry leading best practices

  • Provide coaching to managers and leaders to support employees and ensure effective channels of communication and employee satisfaction

  • Advise employees and leaders regarding company policies, employee relations issues, performance management , development planning and succession planning.

  • Develop relationships across the People community and collaborate to guide processes that allow for the seamless implementation of People programs, employee development, and the overall employee experience

Your Profile
 

  • 5+ years of HR experience engaging with employees across levels on all types of HR matters

  • 3+ Experience working at a high-growth tech company/start-up

  • Detail and action-oriented individual with an owners’ mindset

  • Comfortable working as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-energy environment

  • Strong communicator, empathetic and personable, and can manage your emotions and those of others very well

  • You are flexible, always seek to learn and grow, and aren't afraid to pivot

  • Take a collaborative approach to leadership and you love working with others

  • Sense of humor appreciated
