Are you an occupational therapist (band 5 or 6), seeking to advance your education and training in a community-based environment? A band 6 occupational therapist position is presently open for community adult rehabilitation. You will be able to cycle between patient homes and care homes with this position, obtaining experience in both clinical and non-clinical settings. We can offer Tier 2 sponsorship.

Typical Duties:

• Attendance to allocation meeting.

• Management of your own caseload of patients

• Holistic initial assessment of patients and maintaining a patient-centre focus to discharge planning.

• Designing rehabilitation programmes for patients to undertake themselves, or co-ordinating across the team to facilitate.

• Attendance to multidisciplinary meetings and team meetings.

• Completing onward referrals.

• Supporting students, rotational and unregistered staff through supervision and informal discussion.

Qualification

Essential criteria

  • Diploma or 1st level Degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Current HCPC Registration

Desirable criteria

  • Clinical Educators qualification

Experience

  • Previous experience of elderly rehabilitation

  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of community working
