A Senior Electrical Design Engineer is needed to join a well-established company in Northern Ireland. The employing company specializes in off-site prefabricated, creative, and sustainable construction services solutions and provides turnkey solutions to its clients. Sponsorship for a skilled worker visa is possible (if required).

Mon -Thu: 08:00 – 17:00
Fri: 08:00 – 15:00
Reporting to the Head of Design, daily duties include:
Develop electrical designs, drawings, calculations etc for projects
Create project-specific building management systems control strategies for implementation
Manage, train and develop junior engineers
Take part in project design meetings
Work hand in hand with other departments and teams to deliver projects
Visit UK sites to undertake surveys or existing systems

Education:
Degree in Electrical Engineering/Building Services or equivalent qualification
Essential skills and experience:
5 years of relevant experience
Chartered Engineer status with a professional body
Experience in the design and implementation of building management systems
Previous experience in designing ELV, LV and HV systems e.g. protections, harmonics, investors etc.
Comprehensive understanding of British/European standards and legislation included the latest 18th edition
Experience working with Amtech or similar design software
Self-motivated, hard-working individual
Possess a strong commitment to team environment dynamics, contributing expertise and following leadership directives at appropriate times
Fluent written and verbal English language skills
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and the latest BIM 360 software packages
Experience in utilising IES, Hysopt or similar
Design HV electrical switchgear, transformer, generator systems above 2MW(e)
