You will oversee the user research function as the head of user research, which includes research quality, relevance & effect, operations, compliance & ethics, be a member of the UX leadership team, reporting to the Director of Product Design and collaborating with the UX Heads to further develop, maintain, and improve the UX and Design function. You will also define a vision for the function and help it move forward in coordination with other leadership team members within UX & Product. define a vision for the function and drive it forward in alignment with other leadership members within UX & Product.
create the right environment for proactive strategic research to be done to inform innovation.
be the people manager of all 11 user researchers. and grow the function and team further.
Coach all the members of your 10+ team and ensure they have a direction set in terms of goals and expected outcomes.
You have a track record in building and managing high-performing UX Research teams in a digital product company ideally with a mobile focus. You've already driven over democratizing strategic initiatives in the research function before and can deliver actionable examples to that, which ideally involved multiple researchers in a product company. You are also experienced in scaling and growing research teams and have a successful track of democratizing records in people management of individual contractors as well as people managers.
You have worked as a user researcher yourself in the past and bring experience in democratizing user research, too. You are a great mentor and coach for your team through your strong strategic thinking capabilities.
You are a strong communicator, advocate for and socialize actionable insights in a clear and compelling way across the whole organization and the Product Leadership team.
Excellent storytelling skills to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
Build bridges between different disciplines (insights disciplines, UX, product…)
Have a vision for a thriving mixed-methods research function & product organization
strong pragmatic problem-solving attitude
