A skilled and seasoned English-speaking Governess is needed by a British family living in Dubai to work with their three children. You will be expected to provide the children with excellent care and attend to their everyday needs as a governess. You'll help with the morning chores and take them with you to school. To make sure the kids are meeting all the developmental milestones for their age, you'll pick them up from school and offer homework assistance, topic mentoring, and education growth through classes and play. You will also manage their schedules, organize extracurricular activities, drive them to and from after-school activities, conduct errands, and help the kids in general with running their lives.
The children are active and sporty and enjoy football, kickboxing, swimming and skiing.
The ideal candidate will have strong teaching experience, holding a PGCE/QTS. You should be friendly, flexible, organised and be a positive role model and mentor to the children. Speaking an additional language will be beneficial to your application as well as being a driver, neither are essential.
The working schedule will be 5.5 days on/1.5 days off. A 5/2 schedule may be considered for the right candidate.
The working hours will be up to 10 hours per day. The day will be a split shift from 6.30 am – 7.45 am and 4 pm – 8 pm. PA duties will be undertaken when the children are at school. Saturday morning half day.
This is a live-in position with a private bedroom provided within the family home or live-out and suitable for those already in Dubai with their own accommodation.
The family travels often and you will be required to travel with them.
Salary on offer is dependent on skills and experience.
