We are looking for a full-time seasoned payroll manager who can work independently with key stakeholders in the business to manage our global payroll. You will lead and manage all aspects of the payroll for our employees and ensure that the payroll is accurate and compliant in all countries.
Qredo is a pioneering technology brand looking for a global payroll manager to join our Finance Department to help grow and evolve our team. Qredo is a brand conscious frontier technology company with deep applied research expertise in cryptography and blockchain technology.
Qredo currently runs a UK payroll in-house, and overseas local payroll providers for our subsidiary companies in Bulgaria and Malta, Serbia and El Salvador. We also run an Employer of Record solution across 25 plus other countries where we employ talent, which also needs overseeing.
Responsibilities
Process UK payroll for employees and produce accurate reports, that are compliant with HMRC and the pensions regulator
Manage relationships and provide monthly review of payroll with outsourced payroll providers to ensure accurate reports are produced for global payrolls (currently Bulgaria, Malta and our Employer of Record service)
Maintain payroll documents in a highly organised manner to meet audit requirements
Report to department supervisor (Group FC) regarding daily activities and issues
Lead payroll communication between Finance and People team to ensure payroll is completed (with a zero-fault target)
Provide a high-class experience to employees and resolve any queries in a timely, friendly and professional manner
Keep informed with local and international payroll and tax duties (and help compile resources and relevant reading material to rest of Finance team)
Prepare payroll journals in company accounting software, with departmental analysis for company budget
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field; professional certification is a plus
Proven experience in a payroll position within the financial services sector/high growth start-up
Experience with running global payroll operations is preferred
Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures and end of tax-year processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer literacy; experience with Xero, BrightPay and Nest is preferred
Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Comfortable working and managing remote relationships
